My personal journey to glowing skin and a small waist was long, difficult, and frustrating. It was full of setbacks {fad diets} and tears. I struggled with the freshman 15, which soon became 20, and 30, and didn’t go away. After college I took on a frantic lifestyle working in corporate finance and living out of a hotel for five years, across four countries and 10 states. My environment was constantly changing. I was living far away from the people that I cared about most in my life and I worked long hours which only fueled the problem.I would turn to food for comfort, or pleasure. I would turn to food as an escape from reality. I would turn to food for distraction against what I was truly feeling and experiencing. I stuffed my feelings with food.While living this intense lifestyle, something finally clicked. Small changes that I had incorporated into my daily life started to translate into real results. I started journaling to explore my feelings and become more aware of my body and self. Bikram yoga, green juice, and kombucha became my daily drug of choice. I {let go} of 30 pounds, all while living on the road and working long hours. I was empowered. I was productive. I was confident in taking time for myself, my body, and my peace. I ate for energy. I ate for vitality. I no longer ate to ward off a craving or for an escape. When we work together, I’ll coach you through this mindset shift, step-by-step.
