The Power of Teams

A news story from Utah really inspired me today: a group of ordinary bystanders heroically saved a man. How did they do that?

Imagine you are walking down a street and see a terrible accident – a motorcycle and a car on fire with an unconscious man trapped underneath. You know exactly what’s wrong with this picture – the man needs to be out from underneath the car, or he will burn. You want to help, but you realize that there is nothing you can do to help him. The car is too heavy. You are alone and powerless.

Isn’t that how we sometimes feel about controlling our apetite? We might eat so much that it makes us sick, literally and figuratively, yet we are alone and powerless to stop.

Our story doesn’t have to end badly, however. If we are joined by people facing a challenge just like us, together it is possible to overcome anything. In the case of the trapped man, several people joined together, lifted the burning car and pulled him out.

In the case of an addiction to food, people all around the world are joining together to break their destructive eating patterns and adopt healthy eating habits. LeanWagon was created to make this much easier and even a little fun. People who are overweight or who want to learn more about healthy eating habits are jumping on the wagon with us. A group of ordinary people can make extraordinary progress to becoming happy and healthy.
