Can I drink alcohol?
Avoid alcohol, if possible. There are 3 reasons why Alcohol will hurt your weight loss efforts.
- Alcohol slows your metabolism and your body is able to process fewer calories per day.
- Alcoholic drinks contain lots of calories and increases overall caloric intake.
- Alcohol causes bad decision. It influences your brain to feel powerful and omnipotent. This can lead you to feel as if you don’t need to follow your plan, and will cause you to eat foods you would otherwise not eat.
If you must drink, stick to red wine as it has the least amount of calories and provides some health benefits. Keep it under two glasses!
